A person who laced sweets with sedative and gave them to minors at a youth camp in Leicestershire has admitted sexual offences against two young males both nine and ten years old.
The defendant was taken into custody after eight minors and a grown-up experienced illness at the location in mid-summer.
The senior citizen, from that region, admitted guilt to a series of 17 offences when he was present at the judicial center on Friday.
Yet, he denied one of the sexual offences he was facing, which was involving a young boy.
The defendant was held in detention before a further hearing on late November.
'Treat game'
The prosecutor, handling the case, outlined Ruben's offending to the court.
She said his those affected were disadvantaged youngsters who were attending a summer camp which he managed.
Ruben conducted a "treat game" with the minors, the prosecutor explained, in which he would go into the boys' rooms when they were settling down and ask them to eat sweets "as quickly as they can".
She informed the proceedings the defendant had conducted this practice with the young males "over an extended period", and children had earlier experienced illness the subsequent day.
She explained Ruben had been capable of justifying this over a long period as the minors being "overexcited from fun", until his stepchild had suspicions in recently.
The legal representative added: "This year his family member had suspicions about the activities, with valid cause.
"They chose" to have a look in the individual's items."
The prosecutor stated materials including lubricant, petroleum jelly and medical needles were discovered, and his family member notified the police about his concerns.
She stated Ruben proceeded to engage in the "sweet game" with six children that evening - July 26th - and they were everyone unwell the following morning.
"Law enforcement" had not arrived by that stage," she continued.
The regulatory agency, the investigative body, earlier informed that it was investigating law enforcement's management of the incident.
Mrs Prior explained the minors were having difficulty walking due to their condition, so the family member called the authorities once more.
She explained Ruben then conducted the "sweet game" in a space of five minors.
